I love having vegetarian meals as they are so delicious and tasty. Vegan meals are still quite new to me, until this year. The Vegan pasta by Eatsudouku is so delicious, and made me want to incorporate more vegan dishes into my diet.
There are 3 types of vegan pasta offered by Eatsudouku. Each main come with 3 side dishes which are so healthy and refreshing. There’s bean sprouts with sesame sauce, Japanese silken tofu with ponzu sauce, cherry tomatoes and shredded cabbage drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
Cold Truffle Pasta Set
This is my favourite as the fragrance of truffle is so prominent! The al dente angel hair pasta is generously tossed in shio kombu and truffle oil. The aroma of truffle coats the pasta very well, a great experience for any truffle enthusiast.
Cold Mentsuyu Pasta Set
Al dente angel hair pasta with golden-brown sautéed shitake mushrooms, edamame, in-house made vegan caviar and roasted kizami nori seaweed. Most notably, it is seasoned with shio kombu and served chilled with Sudouku’s take on Mentsuyu (a traditional Japanese condiment)
Their vegan mentsuyu sauce is made with roasted nori seaweed and vegetable dashi. The unami flavours of the dish is very pronounced. I love the savoury and sweet touches of the shoyu!
Cold Wasabi Pasta Set
It’s refreshing to have wasabi in the mains, as we usually pair this condiment with sashimi. Sudouku’s wasabi sauce is made using grated nama wasabi, shoyu and other seasonings. There’s a natural sweetness which cuts through the spice. The balanced blend of savouriness, spiciness and sweetness is well captured in the dish.
These 3 types of pasta are a great start to have more Vegan meals in your diet!
