The Peranakan Restaurant Singapore

The Peranakan is an authentic Straits cuisine restaurant in Singapore. Executive Chef Raymond Khoo and his team serve three generations of delicious must-try Peranakan recipes. They are the only Peranakan restaurant along the Orchard road belt in Singapore and the only restaurant to serve a ‘Tok Panjang’ – a grand Peranakan feast, once served at the turn of the century, by wealthy Straits families to mark special occasions like weddings, anniversaries and important birthdays.

It’s a great restaurant that delivers a unique Peranakan experience! We love their High Tea Set so as we got to try a variety of sweet and savoury desserts ($35+/pax)

For the drinks, you get to choose between Hot Lemongrass infused with Pandan / Malacca Coffee / Malacca Milk Tea

𝐌𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐚𝐦: The broth is so flavorful and goes well with the thin noodles. Add the lime to have a refreshing sour taste to it!

𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐚: I love dry laksa so much! This is very savoury and not too spicy.

𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐛𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐨: Found this dish so interesting as I am used to braised Kongba Bun. Awesome pairing with satay sauce as it is so nutty and fragrant. The pairing of fried mantou with tender and fatty pork is delicous.

𝐊𝐮𝐞𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐞: Could eat a few portions of this crispy treat! The fillings are delicious and flavorful.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐍𝐠𝐨𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠: Yummy blend of pork and prawn inside the crispy beancurd skin.

𝐁𝐮𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐤 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭: Couldn’t identify Buah Keluak while eating this! Love this on toast so much! If you love Ayam Buah Keluak, you will enjoy pairing it with toast. It is super unique!

𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠: Good to pair it with mee siam!

𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐔𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐈𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐚: First time trying this! It reminds me of Thunder Rice tea due to the vegetables used.

𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐢: The sweetness of the shredded coconut from the gula melaka goes so well with glutinous rice

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐨𝐤 𝐊𝐰𝐚 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭: The pancake is so chewy and soft! There’s sweet banana sauce to go along with it.

𝐊𝐮𝐞𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚: For the kueh lovers, this is a savory tapioca cake with shredded coconut

𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐤 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧: This is so delicious! Love the creamy durian on the fluffy pancake

𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭: Would love a thicker texture! Happy to see 2 durian desserts in total

𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐥: Rich and creamy dessert with a generous portion of savoury coconut cream. The gula melaka makes it so fragrant
