Isshin Machi

So happy to find authentic Taiwanese Cuisine in Singapore at @isshinmachi.sg  They have 3 branches that are decorated in different themes (Taiwanese Mando Pop Music/ Taiwanese Movies/ Taiwanese Attractions and Literature)

We tried their signature dishes which are so delicious, and reminds me of my awesome foodie adventures in Taiwan.

Cucumber with Spicy Garlic Dressing: An addictive appetizer that is so refreshing due to the spices used. It’s sweet and slightly spicy 

Salt and Pepper Green Beans: This is a very interesting dish as the spices are usually used for Taiwanese fried chicken. Love that this is a good healthier alternative. It’s slightly crunchy and the portion is generous.

Moon Shape Prawn Cake: First time noticing prawn cakes! It’s generously loaded with ingredients inside the crispy exterior. This is really good for sharing

Crispy Chicken Cutlet: Deep fried to perfection with an ultra crispy skin. Best enjoyed at their restaurant!

Braised Meat Rice: I love the fatty strips of pork which makes it so juicy and indulgent. Thumbs up to the addition of salted vegetables, cucumber and braised egg. Taiwan’s short grained rice is used!

Signature Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodles: I love that hand cut noodles are used! The texture is perfect and is so chewy. Definitely a must try for the noodles lover. The broth is flavorful and light!

Shrimp & Pork Wontons with Fiery Chilli Oil: Interesting to see the chilli on top of each wonton, which makes this dish so unique! I love the silky smooth skin that envelops the generous amount of fillings inside. You can easily finish this by yourself   

Brown Sugar Caramel Pearl Milk Tea: Milk tea to go along with all the delicious Taiwanese food! The sugar level is just right for me, even though there’s caramel and brown sugar.
