โฃThe broth has a strong nutty fragrance. Interestingly, the gravy is spicy, sweet and sour. It is on the sweeter side yet flavorful and tangy. I enjoyed the smooth rice noodles that soak up the creamy gravy very well. Adding lime would strike a good balance against the sweetness of the gravy.

It's quite hard to nail the texture of the gravy but Hup Hup Mee Siam managed to nail it. The vinegary gravy was gooey but not too starchy. There's a good amount of ingredients which go well with the yellow noodles - ngoh hiang, egg, fishcakes and tender pork belly slices.

The gravy hits all the right notes for me. It's rich, flavourful and has the right amount of spices. There's plenty of ingredients such as tau pok, fish cakes, hard-boiled egg, and cockles. The broth goes well with the silky thick bee hoon. It is mildly spicy, despite the rather fiery red colour.

I love the grainy texture and the fragrance of yam. The bitterness of the ginko goes well with the sweet pam paste. It is a good dessert to end off a hearty meal.
