Using only premium ingredients, Delicatesse is a local bakery/café that specialises in cakes and pastries at pretty affordable prices. You can chill at their shop and sip on artisanal teas, while savouring their well-executed bakes.
We tried Banana Chocolate Tart (my favorite), Seasonal Pineapple tart (must try) and Carrot cake with nutty crust. If you love Matcha, you can satisfy your cravings for their pretty-looking tart too!
My all time favourite Banana Chocolate Tart is unforgetable. I love the creamy mousse, and the stellar combination of Banana, Chocolate Mousse and Banana sponge! It’s not too sweet and this is really well done! There's banana jelly, chocolate mousse, banana sponge, chocolate tart, caramel glaze & chunky peanuts in this treat.
Initially, I wanted to skip on their Pineapple tart as I had way too many of them over Chinese New Year. Thankfully I decided to give it a go. It is something more unique than the usual cookies. You can taste the premium ingredients (from the tart to the chewy pineapple fillings, down to the nutty exterior). Each component complements each other so well.
For carrot cake lovers, expect a crust that is similar to the taste of ferrero rocher! The crunchy exterior and the moist cake sponge with the various spices are so delightful. I am still thinking about the layers of cream cheese with the flavorful fillings right now! The chocolate glaze is an absolute delight.
Pair all these desserts with their brewed tea for the best experience!
