Nasi Kandar Pelita was born out of passion, dream and leap of faith in June 1995 by three good friends. The late Mr Kirudu Mohamed Bin Kuppaikanni, Mr Kaliq Jamal and Mr Ramesh embarked their journey in nasi kandar business with a clear common vision – to serve authentic nasi kandar food for the locals. Their first stall concept nasi kandar was at a corner shop at Chai Leng Park, Seberang Jaya, Penang.
The mastermind and founders of the most popular Nasi Kandar Pelita, Mr Kirudu Mohamed and Mr Kaliq Jamal – a borne spice lover, just knew the right blend of the spices to make a dish literally finger-licking good!
A humble start for Mr Kirudu Mohamed from a typical nasi kandar stall way back in 1972 at Chowrasta Market and later moved to Kinta Lane, Penang has flourished to be a renowned household brand name in Malaysia today.
Another signature item.
Thin crispy crust, filled savoury meat with full spices and sliced onion.

Salted Egg Cream Chicken
The ideal introduction to Jibril is the salted egg butter chicken rice platter, a creation for which Jibril has become renowned, bringing together the lush savouriness of salted egg chicken thigh meat with the creamy sweetness of butter chicken.
Feast on it in the newly updated and upgraded Salted Egg Butter Combo platter, which adds tiger prawns and squid to the mix, all coated in genuine salted egg yolk sauce (RM26.90 per plate or RM49.90 for two plates) - diners can then double the decadence by dunking the chicken, prawns and squid in a rich buttermilk sauce on the side.
