A place for Noodle Lovers
The dishes from 69 Noodles Bar are right up my alley. There’s a variety of local noodles delight, seafood, classics such as Fried Oyster. The number of side dishes are extensive as well. It’s a good place to chill in the evening or for supper as they close at 2am. I had such a satisfying dinner and am glad to see the local favourites being done so well.
Braised Minced Pork Ramen
When I took my first bite, I was pretty surprised that it tasted really similar to Braised Pork Rice, but even better! It's definitely the elevated version, the thick al dente noodles drenched in the flavorful sauce and the accompanying ingredients are so delicious. I love the texture of the noodles, so thick and springy. The onsen egg makes the whole dish more creamy and it is just simply delightful!
Squid Ink Hokkien Mee
This is the dish which I am looking forward the most! It's the signature from 69 Noodles Bar. I love squid ink pasta and hokkien mee. By itself, both are so flavourful and packed with rich seafood flavours. I was pretty excited to try a fusion of these 2 classics.
It’s satisfying that the noodles are infused with a rich unami flavour. The floral petals and seafood add a nice touch to the dish. The aftertaste of the yellow noodles is present, so hopefully it could be less prominent.
Garlic butter clams: So happy that there’s a generous amount of clams. One entire plate of clams is definitely satisfying for me. The broth is so fragrant with garlic. Had a good time sweeping up all the clams.
Grilled scallops in garlic butter: I enjoyed the scallops thoroughly! The orange roe may not usually always taste great. It could be rather tough and rubbery. But it’s so tender and creamy at 69 Noodles Bar . The seafood is served together with a charcoal grill.
Fried oyster: I am incredibly satisfied with this dish! There’s a good amount of oysters and crispiness in this dish! It’s flavourful yet not too greasy. If you love fried oyster, you have to try it. The chili at the side is quite spicy so a little amount would pair well with each bite!
